scrawl is a tiny, hobby-scale collaborative drawing app. we try to collect as little as possible. this page explains exactly what we keep and why.

what we store

• your email — used as your login (we send a magic link instead of using passwords).
• your display name + signature drawing — only what you choose to set on the me page.
• scrawls you save — drawings you tap ★ on, kept until you delete them or your account.
• friend connections — who you've added by email, and who's added you.
• tandem & corpse rooms — drawings made in a shared room are stored only while the room is alive; we do not associate them with your account unless you save them.
• basic server logs — vercel keeps short-term request logs (ip, user agent) for abuse protection. we do not analyse, sell or share them.

what we don't do

• no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics, no advertising.
• no selling or sharing of your data with third parties.
• no training of ai models on your scrawls.

third parties

• supabase — hosts our database + sends the magic-link emails. their privacy policy applies to that data in transit.
• vercel — hosts the website itself.

your controls

• delete any saved scrawl from your me page.
• delete your entire account (email, name, signature, friend list, all saved scrawls) with one click on /me. it cascades immediately and is permanent.
